This has included medallists at the Beijing 2008 & London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Mark has also applied his knowledge in professional sport through his work in both the Scottish and English Premier Leagues, working with the first team squads of Hearts FC and West Bromwich Albion FC respectively. Mark is currently Performance Lead for Speed & Power and Technical Sports within the English Institute of Sport Performance Solutions Team and is developing his expertise in Plyometric training through research towards a PhD.
Mardyke Arena’s Strength & Conditioning Coach Jeff Gomez said that the Arena are delighted to welcome Mark Jarvis to Cork.
“We are delighted to have a person of Marks calibre delivering a one-day workshop at the Mardyke Arena UCC. His vast experience in the field of strength & conditioning will offer participants some great tips on how to effectively apply plyometric exercise and identify the practical factors which limit their effectiveness in helping athletes improve. The Workshop will be a mix of both practical and theory sessions and I can ensure participants that this Workshop will benefit all Strength & Conditioning Coaches across a broad spectrum of sports.”
