A Blackpool G.P., Dr John Sheehan, has been selected as a Fianna Fail
candidate for the Cork North Central Ward. Based in Blackpool for the
past 10 years Dr Sheehan has seen at first hand the challenges that
people face on a daily basis. These range from problems with housing,
anti-social behaviour, flooding, derelict properties and the problem
of drug and alcohol abuse.
“I believe that it is important that we speak out and try to address
and find solutions to the many problem facing us as a community,” Dr
Sheehan said when his nomination was announced.” We must bridge the
disconnect between the City authorities and the people. By engaging
with individuals and community groups many issues and problems can be
addressed.”
Dr Sheehan will contest the Cork City Council Local Election in 2014.
