Due to a serious break in a Trunk Water Main in Cattle Market Street Area, Residents and Business Owners in the following areas may experience some loss of supply. Cork City Council are carrying out essential engineering works to repair the broken main and will endeavour to have water supply albeit at reduced pressure to the areas affected while works are on-going.
The following areas will be affected:
- Tivoli Estate,
- Glenthorn
- Lover’s Walk
- Old Youghal Road (in the vicinity of Collins Barracks)
- Middle Glanmire Road
- Liffey Park
Every effort will be made to keep the disruption to a minimum. Some discoloration to the water supply may occur when the water supply is restored. This discoloration is harmless, and will clear in a short time. Please check the clarity of the water at the kitchen tap before operating drink vending machines, washing machines, dishwashers etc. Please help us by informing your neighbours who may not hear this notice.
Cork City Council regrets any inconvenience caused to consumers as a result of this essential work.
