The Christmas lights in Cork City will be switched on this Weekend
TV presenter Brendan O’Connor, from Bishopstown, will turn the switch
on Patrick’s Street at 6pm on Sunday.
The lighting ceremony will include a performance by The “Cork
Community Project Choir”,
Characters from both Cork Opera House Christmas Panto, Aladdin
and The Everyman Panto, Jack and the Beanstalk,
will also be on hand as well as a special visit from Santa Claus!
The switching on off the lights on Sunday is just one part of a larger
Christmas festival in the City called “Glow”
