The Area Manager of Bus Eireann will meet with City Councillors
early next week, to explain why services to the Glen were cut back.
The number of busses passing through the Glen was drastically reduced at the end of August
campaighers say the new service – from late morning to early afternoon – doesn’t cater for children going to school,
or workers coming home from the City.
For more than two months Campaigners have been calling on Bus Eireann to
restore the service. Earlier this month campaigners escalated their actions by blockading the Capwell Bus Garage
Fine Gael Cllr Patricia Gosch was one of many people who attended a meeting last night
at the Glen Resource Centre over the bus issue, she confirmed that Bus Eireann’s Area Manager
Joe Fitzgerald will attend meeting in City Hall next Monday.
Speaking to TheCork.ie Cllr Gosch outlined the problem with the Bus service
