The Irish India Business Association (IIBA) Cork Chapter welcomes Her Excellency, Smt. Radhika Lal Lokesh, to Cork today.
The new Indian Ambassador to Ireland will be the chief guest at a networking event organised by the IIBA Cork Chapter in association with University College Cork (UCC) and the Tyndall National Institute. The event will take place at the Tyndall National Institute, Lee Maltings, Dyke Parade, Cork at 18.30.
The theme of the event is Information and Communications Technology and the event is the second to be organised by the Cork Chapter of the IIBA, since its inauguration earlier this year.
It is part of an ongoing series of networking opportunities and information seminars aiming to enable those with an interest in doing business in India to meet both potential partners and learn from those who have already successfully entered this fast-growing and very dynamic market.
The event will also showcase the different research activities in Tyndall as well as how Tyndall/UCC can generate value for industry through research collaboration. The event will be hosted by Dr Kieran Drain, CEO, Tyndall National Institute.
According to Mike Murphy, PRO of the Cork chapter of the IIBA, “We are delighted to welcome the new Indian ambassador to Ireland, Her Excellency Smt. Radhika Lal Lokesh, who will launch this event and give the keynote address.”
“We are also very pleased that UCC is the first Irish university to be visited by the new ambassador, and we feel this reflects the very strong research partnerships developed by UCC with India in the past few years, and the growing numbers of Indian students choosing to study in UCC, apart from UCC’s very significant historical links with the Indian sub-continent.”
