The DJ Series @ Havana Browns, presented by Heineken on Friday, 11th
October, will see the magnificent DJ Jazzy Jeff hitting the decks.
Tickets for the gig are on sale on-line in advance of the gig for a
discounted €10 from www.havanabrowns.ie or on the door on the night
for €15.
Grammy Award-winning DJ and turntablist extraordinaire, Jeffrey Townes
aka DJ Jazzy Jeff, is most notably known for his success as part of
the hip-hop duo with partner Will Smith as the Fresh Prince. Jazzy
Jeff will visit Havana Browns as part of his Vinyl Destination Tour
2013.
Just like the song ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’, Jazzy Jeff was born and
raised in West Philadelphia. He developed a love of music at an early
age; he was just 10 years old when he started spinning records at
parties, using his family’s basement as a training ground for his
expert mixing.
Over the course of his career, DJ Jazzy Jeff has achieved many
accomplishments, including a DMC Championship, and multiple Grammy and
American Music Awards nominations. Most recently, his talents have
seen him tour Asia, the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
Graham Barrett, Havana Browns Manager said: “At Havana Browns, we’ve
always put our customers first and give them what they want. That’s
why we have partnered with Heineken and introduced the DJ Series @
Havana Browns. We wanted to bring some of the biggest names in DJing
to our club, having DJ Jazzy Jeff hit the decks in Havana Browns is
surreal. I grew up listening to Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, the
pair sold over 5.5 million albums in the US so it is an honour to have
him in Havana Browns. Tickets are limited, so my advice is get them
quick to avoid disappointment.”
RedFM DJ Stevie G will kick off the gig at 11pm on Friday night before
Havana Browns gives a huge rebel welcome to Jazzy Jeff. Doors open at
11pm and this event is strictly over 21’s only.
