Omniplex, Ireland’s largest cinema chain, will screen next week’s Cork vs
Clare All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final Replay for free on the big screen at
the
Cork Omniplex cinema in Mahon. It been made possible by the move to digital
projection, so live TV can be shown on the screen.
Following the successful sold out screening of the first final early this
month, Omniplex will give those GAA fans
unable to get to Dublin to see Jimmy Barry Murphy’s young team take on
Clare, another chance to watch the
match in style for FREE, in their cinema at Mahon in Cork.
Paul Anderson, Managing Director of Omniplex, said: “Our first screening of
the All-Ireland Hurling Final was a
huge success. It ‘sold out’ days in advance and the atmosphere in the
cinema was electric. People were chanting,
cheering and shouting at the team as if they were in Croke Park. Seeing the
match on the big screen gave people
a whole new perspective. We’re happy to show the final again and hope it
will be as great a spectacle as the last
match, albeit this time with a Cork win.”
Doors open at 4.00pm on Saturday 28th September
people need to do to secure a place at this free screening is to pick up
their tickets prior to the match. There is a
restriction of 4 tickets per person, issued on a first-come-first-served
basis. Alcohol is not permitted.
