Cork Airport have welcomed Ryanair’s announcement of a new four times
weekly service from Cork to East Midlands, beginning in October.
The announcement came as part of the airline’s new winter schedule for
2013/2014 which also introduces a 100,000 seat sale across Ryanair’s
entire European network.
Welcoming the announcement, Niall MacCarthy, Airport Director, Cork
Airport said: “Cork Airport is delighted to welcome this new route to
East Midlands with Ryanair. This is an opportunity to expand inbound
tourism to the Munster region and also offers another gateway serving
the city regions of Derby, Leicester and Nottingham. We wish Ryanair
every success with this new route and look forward to further positive
announcements over the next period”.
Ryanair’s Lisa Cashin said: “We are pleased to launch our Cork winter
2013 schedule, with 11 routes in total. These routes include our new
winter service to East Midlands, with 4 weekly flights from October
2013. These flights are now on sale on our website at www.ryanair.com.
