Free wi-fi internet access is now available in Cork City Centre.
The City Council in association with BitBuzz have the service running
on Patrick Street, the Grand Parade, Paul Street and the Boardwalk, and
other streets will
be added in the next few months.
The primary users will be tourists and there is a 2 hour limit per
day, and 20 minutes per session, but access is open to everyone
who has a wi-fi enabled device, you can login using your Facebook or
Twitter account, or you can register by email
Shane Deasy is MD of BitBuzz, he says all you need to do on your
smartphone or tablet is to select the “BitBuzz” hotspot
In the next six months, more streets including Oliver Plunkett Street
will be covered by the free wi-fi service
