A North Cork man who passed away after spending 10 months in Hospital
following a crash in England has been laid to rest.
Con or “Connie” Twomey from Meelin, County Cork
had been holidaying in Devon last summer along with his wife Elber and 16
month old child Oisin
when their family car was hit by another.
Son Oisin was killed in the crash, as was the couples un-born baby.
Mr Twomey was later transferred by air ambulance to Cork University
Hospital
but he never recovered from his multiple injuries and passed away on Friday.
He is survived by his wife Elber.
Requiem Mass for Mr Twomey took place in St Josephs Church Meelin yesterday
afternoon

Items from his life were brought to the altar.
A hammer to remember his involvement in the building trade,
and a Hurley for his sporting achievements….
