Message from Enda Kenny:
“I was very sorry to hear of the death of Dick Barry.
Throughout his long career as a minister of state and Dail deputy,
Dick Barry served his constituency and country with great integrity
and decency.
He had the unusual distinction of serving in the Dail alongside his
daughter Myra from 1979 to 1981. In addition to his distinguished
political career, Dick was also a very successful auctioneer.
On a personal level, Dick Barry was a close friend of my late father
and I will remember him with great affection.
I extend my deepest condolences to Dick’s wife Margaret and their family”
