Cork Chamber in partnership with Vodafone is actively looking for Cork based companies that have demonstrated significant achievement and success. The ‘Cork Company of the Year’ awards are open to businesses, across varying sectors and sizes, from the SME to the large multinational. Now in its 16th year, the ‘Cork Company of the Year’ awards have gone from strength to strength and are synonymous with the highest level of performance and achievement in business.
Speaking at the launch Conor Healy, Chief Executive, Cork Chamber said; “I am continuously inspired by the level of commitment, talent and innovation demonstrated by so many Cork companies. At a time when companies are operating in a challenging environment, awards like this become even more significant in recognizing and celebrating significant business success and achievements.”
Mr. Healy continued; “The winners of last year’s awards were ePubDirect (Emerging Company), O’Connell Group (SME) and SouthWestern (Large Company). Being associated with such established awards the winners will gain significant exposure and prestige and once again we encourage businesses to use this opportunity to reflect on their successes over the past year and look forward to receiving a variety of applications from various business sectors across the region.”
Anne O’Leary, Enterprise Director, Vodafone Ireland said; “The calibre of companies that were celebrated at last year’s awards was so impressive that we are really looking forward to what the 2013 Cork Company of the Year Awards have in store. Companies across the region are continuously innovating to really progress their businesses and are beating the odds, it’s great that we can acknowledge their hard work.”
The three award categories are:
– Cork Large Company of the Year ( more than 100 employees)
– Cork SME of the Year ( less than 100 employees)
– Emerging Cork Company of the Year ( less than 5 years in business)
The overall winner will be selected from one of the three award categories above.
Shortlisted companies will be profiled in the media in the lead up to the awards and the overall winners will be announced and presented with an award trophy at the Cork Chamber Annual Dinner in Cork City Hall on Friday, 1st February 2013, where close to 1000 business people and key influencers both national and local will be in attendance.
