The Courtmacsherry RNLI Lifeboat was called out this evening, sat at 7.12pm to go to the aid of a 35 ft Yacht which has got into difficulties two miles off the Seven Heads in West Cork. The stricken vessel has had a fire on board and requested immediate assistence. The Lifeboat has now reached the casuality and with the fire being estinguished , it is proceeding to tow the yacht with 2 persons on board back to Courtmacsherry. Conditions at sea this evening are windy Force 4 to 5. The expected time to arrive back into Courtmacsherry with the rescued vessel is 9pm.
