Macroom Motors, have just announced a major recruitment drive, having recently been awarded the Toyota and Lexus franchise for Cork City. The new city dealership, which will open its doors in early August, will operate as Lehane Motors, and will initially be based in the old Wilton Motors premises in Bishopstown representing the Toyota brand in Cork. This new development will result in 20 new jobs, which will rise to at least 40 when they realise their plans to build a new state of the art Toyota and Lexus facility in 2014. For the time being the Lexus brand will be based out of Macroom Motors.
John Lehane, Lehane Motors Managing Director stated “This is an exciting time for all of us as we are busy getting the premises ready and recruiting our new team. Our home in Cork city will first be in Wilton, but we have plans to build a new state-of- the art Toyota and Lexus dealership in the city, making us one of the largest retailers of new and used cars in the country.”
