Parts of Cork city and county are under up to three feet of water this morning. Many places are without electricity as a result, and power should be reconnected by 8am the ESB say.
It’s after heavy heavy rain and flooding overnight. Many secondary roads have surface flooding
Cork City Council have activated a flood defence plan.
Near to the City areas badly hit include: Douglas village with reports of 3 feet of water during the peak around 3am, also flooding in Blackpool, Turners Cross, Ballyvolane, Glanmire

In Clonakilty, West Cork rain stopped falling around 5am but the floods remain, including on the main street: Pearse Street
