Harbour Flights Ireland Ltd are pleased to announce the granting from An Bord Pleanála on Friday the 20th of April 2012 (PL 30.238600 -10/106) full planning approval for its sea plane base in Limerick City. This particular planning application has taken over 22 months and marks the end of Harbour Flights first phase of planning applications towards its overall strategy to connect Ireland via a commercial sea plane operation.
Phase two will now immediately commence with a further five bases throughout the 32 Counties.
Limerick City is now its sixed base with full planning in place for its intended operation which include, Galway, Dublin, Cobh, Foynes and Its main operation base on Lough Derg, which received on the 20th of September 2011, the historical status of becoming the first IAA (Irish Aviation Authority) licensed Waterdrome base in the country.
