A one-day regatta, one of the largest ever held in Ireland, is expected to draw thousands of spectators and crew-members to the* National Rowing Centre, Farran Wood* this *Sunday, 15 April beginning at 8am* with races taking place throughout the day. ****

The Skibbereen Regatta, sponsored by eFlow, will attract 560 crews from the four provinces, as well as a large crowd of spectators, on Sunday for the first round of the *eFlow Go Row League* at the National Rowing Centre, Farran Wood.****

It is the first of four major national regattas in this league, run by Rowing Ireland, taking place in Cork, Belfast and Dublin. ****

Hilary Shinnick of Fermoy and Kate O’Brien of St Michael’s have been outstanding in this season’s Ireland trials process and they take each other on in single sculls on Sunday. The top junior man, Paul O’Donovan of host club Skibbereen finished fourth in the Junior World Championships last year and is targeting a medal this year. He will lock horns with senior athlete John Keohane of Lee Valley.****
