Up to 70,000 people from are expected to visit Cork City for this years Saint Patrick’s Festival
The highlight will be the Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday the 17th of March.
There will be other attractions on Sunday the 18th and Monday the 19th, making it into a three day festival
The theme of the Parade will be Sport.
This year’s parade will start at the Parnell Place end of the South Mall at 1pm, and will head onto the Grand Parade, cover the the full lenght of Patrick’s Street and will finish in front of Patrick’s Bridge.
Groups wishing to enter still have time! The deadline has been extended until the 2nd of March.
Mothers Day happens to fall during the long weekend and Valerie O’Sullivan from the Recreation, Amenity and Culture section of the City Council says that has been noted
