Lady Mayoress presents cheque to Marymount Hospice

Today (Tuesday November 9th) at 4.00 p.m. in the Lord Mayor’s Office, City Hall, Cork’s Lady Mayoress, Catherine O’ Connell will present a cheque for almost €5000 to Regina Donnelly, Fundraising Manager for Marymount Hospice being the proceeds of the Lady Mayoress’ Coffee morning held on September 18th last.

Speaking in advance of the presentation the Lady Mayoress stated :

I would like to acknowledge the support of the people of Cork, my friends and family, those who attended and supported the event so generously on the morning and the students of Mayfield Community School and Terence McSwiney College Knocknaheeny who assisted me. It is their generosity that makes it possible for this contribution to be made to Marymount. I would also like to pay tribute to the Lord Mayor’s secretaries Catherine Foley and Katie O’ Donoghue whose assistance was invaluable and the following companies who lent their support to the event this year as they have in the past
