CIT enjoyed a memorable first ever win at the
men’s Irish Hockey Intervarsities at UCD today, defeating
DCU on a final scoreline of 2-1 in the final.
DCU looked good in the first half, but CIT recovered, and surpassed, in the second.
The win gives 20-year-old lined Cork GAA All Star Aidan Walsh another medal. His senior hurling colleague Lorcan McLoughlin also put in a good game, allowing CIT to become the first IT to win the hockey varsity
competition.
