Visitors to Inchydoney this afternoon are urged to drive with caution between 2.00 and 5.00pm as a Family Fun Cycle from Clonakilty to Inchydoney and back takes place.
The event will be well stewarded, with safety cars at the start and end of the cyclists, and roads are NOT closed off for the event.
Stewards will be on duty at junctions along the route in order to minimise disruption to traffic and maximise safety of participants.
The cycle is a free, fun, family-orientated, non-competitive event, organised by Sustainable Clonaklity to end it’s successful Energy Week events which took place in the town since last Monday.
With the weather forecast looking good for this afternoon, people of all ages are encouraged to saddle up and join in cycle, which starts at 2.00pm SHARP from the Waterfront Car Park (opposite Eurospar), in Clonakilty.
All participants are urged to assemble at 1.45pm and wear high viz tops and cycle helmets if possible.
